NEST Essentials and Support

The NEST Essentials and Support program is at the heart of The NEST Project’s mission. This program provides essential, practical support to children with disabilities and their families, meeting everyday needs that are often overlooked or unaffordable.

Through this program, we help provide:

Adaptive clothing and footwear for comfort, mobility, and independence
Sensory-friendly tools such as weighted vests, fidget items, and noise-canceling headphones
Daily necessities and comfort items that support a child’s routine and emotional well-being
Gas cards or transportation support to help families attend medical appointments, therapy sessions, or specialist visits
Assistance during times of crisis, helping families replace lost essentials due to emergencies or displacement

Whether it’s offering relief in a tough moment or helping a child feel more confident and comfortable in their day-to-day life, NEST Essentials and Support exists to lift the load so families can focus on what matters most—watching their children grow, heal, and thrive.

As we grow, we plan to expand and add even more programs to support families and children with disabilities. For now, NEST Essentials and Support is our starting point—a foundation we hope to build on as needs evolve and resources grow. We're always open to new ideas or suggestions, especially if there’s something we haven’t thought of yet.
